Purpose of payment: charitable assistance
The year 2022 and especially the winter of 2022/23 were very difficult for the Mykola Hryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, due to Russian aggression. But the Botanical Garden survived, thanks to thousands of benefactors.
In order to prepare for the next winter, it is necessary to reduce heat and energy consumption, and accordingly reduce the cost of maintaining greenhouses that house a collection of tropical and subtropical plants that has the status of a National Treasure, many of which are listed in the IUCN Red List and on the red lists of many countries in South America, Africa, and Asia.
Therefore, we continue #heatforgreenhouses project to help warm and re-equip the Botanical Garden’s greenhouses to survive the next winters.

Thanks to your contributions, we were able to make a professional external energy audit of all the greenhouses of the botanical garden, so our next steps are clearly planned and balanced. We are kindly asking you to support the following:
- Reconstruction of the ventilation system – we fundraise UAH 700,000.00
- Reconstruction of one of the greenhouses (100-150 m2) – the amount will be announced after the project approval
WARM UP THE GREENHOUSES!
We fundraise on accounts opened for this project. The amount of the donation is non-refundable (charity). Your consent to the Foundation’s receipt of funds to the project accounts is your consent to this. If we manage to raise more than the amount currently announced, we together with the Botanical Garden will add the other important things and equipment that will help us gradually reconstruct the greenhouses and buy the latest equipment for their operation, to which you automatically agree.
The costs associated with the project administration amount to 12%.

1. Thanks to the support of our benefactors for the period of fall 2024-spring 2025, we purchased 2 Samsung heat pumps for the Bromeliad / Tsybulyn greenhouse, and purchased and installed equipment for their operation.
2. Also, the community of the information channel @Keller FM raised funds and donated to us to search for and purchase a generator to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the greenhouses during blackouts, where the Orchid collection is stored. After a long search and a series of meetings with botanical garden scientists, it was decided to buy a Cummins C66D5EQ(s) generator with a capacity that could ensure uninterrupted operation of not only the heating pumps in the orchid (3 pumps) but bromeliad (2 pumps) greenhouses. In accordance with the donor’s wishes, the Foundation did not charge administrative expenses. We have already connected the orchid pumps to the generator, and now we need to connect the bromeliad pumps.
